Our Mission

Pomerado Christian Preschool exists to provide a quality, developmental, age-appropriate, hands-on learning curriculum in an optimum, safe, nurturing, Christ-centered environment where children have the opportunity to develop a love for Jesus Christ and others and to grow and develop spiritually, socially, emotionally, physically, and intellectually.

Our Philosophy

Within a caring, relaxed, safe, Christ-centered setting, we will provide opportunities for learning and growth through developmental, age-appropriate exploration, discovery, and hands-on experiences. We believe that positive expression and attitudes should be used in guiding the behavior of each child, to help them to become self-directed individuals.  We understand each child is unique and special and have their own rate and style of learning.

The philosophy of Christian education at Pomerado Christian Preschool is based on the existence of a living God who created all things and has revealed Himself to us through the written Word, the Bible, the living Word, Jesus Christ, and through His creation (John 1:3). Our curriculum has been planned and developed to provide a sound biblical basis for stimulating the different developmental areas of the preschool child.

Our Goals for Each Child

We use three words to shape our goals for each child. They are Grow, Learn, and Discover.

Grow:

  • Grow spiritually, physically, intellectually, socially, and emotionally. Luke 2:52

  • Grow in the desire to please and serve God. Colossians 3:23-24

  • Grow in the knowledge they are special and that God loves them. John 3:16

Learn:

  • Learn to love God. Mark 12:30

  • Learn more about themselves and develop a positive self-concept. Psalm 139:13-15

  • Learn to respect and get along with others. Ephesians 4:32

  • Learn to experiment, explore, and cope with new and unfamiliar situations.

Discover:

  • Discover and explore the world that God created. John 1:3

  • Discover how to develop a life demonstrated by Godly characteristics. Galatians 5:22-23

  • Discover that learning is an exciting part of life.

“There are so many choices for preschools available - but few include core principles of our family - loving God, loving others, and loving the lost.” - Michelle and Will

Our Staff

Our caring staff realizes the importance to help each child develop to his or her full potential. They provide love and understanding for each child according to their needs. Each staff member is a professing believer in the Lord Jesus Christ.
